How to get a free upgrade from Windows 7, 8 PC to Windows 10

Though free upgrades offer to Windows 10 ended on July 29 last year, it is still available unofficially. I have tested two old and new Laptop running Windows 7, a desktop running Windows 8 and multiple virtual machines to check this free upgrades to Windows 10 loophole and I have successfully upgraded from Windows 7, 8 machine to latest Windows 10 Creators Update. Want to free upgrades from your existing Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 machine to Windows 10? To save $119 for Windows 10 Home or $199 for Windows 10 Pro, follow the given steps. I will show you how to achieve this goal without any cost.

Requirements:

  1. Genuine Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PC or a PC with valid Windows Product Keys
  2. Windows 10 ISO file (Downloaded from Microsoft official website)

Step 1: Prepare your existing PC

If your current Windows Operating System is activated, you are ready to go. To check your Windows activation status, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer and right click on Computer or This PC. Select Properties and you will see the system properties. In Windows Activation section, find the activation status- “Windows is activated”.

If your Windows is not activated yet, try to connect internet and activate Windows online using your genuine Windows Product Keys. In System section, also note your System type either 32-bit or 64-bit.

Step 2: Download Windows 10 Installation Tool

Step 3: Run Windows 10 Final Installation
